I’m about to get fancy y’all!

The drink this week is one of my latest favs – the French 75.  It’s relatively easy to make and should be served in a champagne flute.  Some people say it should be served in a highball glass but I love champagne flutes and those other people can go to Hell.

The ingredients are champers of any kind (however, it’s being mixed so don’t go dropping $100 on a bottle of Dom or something), gin, superfine sugar or simple syrup and lemon juice.

I usually put equal parts of gin and lemon juice (about an ounce or two of each) into a shaker then add a bit of simple syrup.  Shake, pour into a champagne flute, then top off with the champers.  If you’re feeling extra fancy, throw in a twist of lemon.
